Ghana – Apply for a Bursary Grant

Procedure

There are an endless amount of good reasons for a Ghana citizen to apply for free government Bursary grants below are the steps to follow in order to apply for a Bursary Grant.

Step 1 Pick the application form from scholarship secretariat or Concern university. Before you send the application in:

a) Make sure you filled in all the blanks. You can contact scholarship secretariat if you aren’t sure how to fill out part of the application.
b) Make sure your answers are readable. If you can, fill out the application from the Universities concerned because they request for application forms each academic year from the Scholarships Secretariat..
c) If you have to write out the application, print neatly.
d) If you’re reusing material (such as a cover letter or an essay) from another scholarship application, make sure you haven’t left in any incorrect names.
e) Proofread your application. Run spell check and grammar check on the application. Also, have someone else read your essays to catch mistakes and give you feedback.
f) Remember to sign and date your application.

Step 2 You should also gather the required documents and attach them to the application Form youll need to apply.

Many scholarships ask you to send some or all of the following:

a) High school transcript
b) Standardized test scores
c) Financial aid forms,
d) Parents’ financial information, including tax returns
e) One or more essays
f) One or more letters of recommendation
g) Proof of eligibility for the Bursary grant (for example, proof of membership in a certain group)

step 3 send a completed application form to the Registrar academic (Graduate School) for collection and vetting.

Step 4 The applicants should be submitted to the Scholarships Secretariat for processing.

The Completed application forms as well as signed list of applicants,a drafted financial Budget, should be submitted by the Registrar to the Scholarships Secretariat for processing. Some Bursary grant have deadlines early in the fall of senior year. Mark the due dates on your calendar and work your way backward to figure out how much time youll have to get each piece of the application finished before the final Submission.
