Minimum Requirements:

An honors degree or equivalent qualification especially in the following fields: Public Policy, Research, Strategic Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Development Planning, Business Management, Social Sciences etc.

A Master’s degree qualification will be an added advantage

5 – 8 years’ working experience in: Strategic and business planning; providing advisory services to clients; designing development indicators in compliance with best practice; policy conceptualization and formulation; management of projects programme management and review; managing field research processes

 Core Responsibilities:

Strategically lead, manage and provide input to the development / review of the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) in compliance with all relevant policies and legislative prescripts

Contribute to the implementation, monitoring of the IDP and overseeing its alignment across the City

Identify, track and manage departmental commitments made in the IDP and provide strategic advice and constant feedback to stakeholders

Manage all matters relating to the IDP, budget integration and performance management

Ensuring effective and efficient business planning in the Metro in alignment and integration with the Growth & Development Strategy Implementation Programme

Receiving and balancing money received from bus driver and ticket sellers, calculate and receipt cash for fares, balance all cash received, batch money according to denomination to ensure proper control over incoming money

Adhere to specified standards, policies and sops, to prevent and reduce wastage on financial resources

Attend to personnel queries and refer them to cashier supervisor to ensure that contribution on a culture, which builds rewarding relationships and enables exceptional customer service and ethical conduct by being a good example

Ensure that applications for special hire buses are completed and calculate trip cost and supplying of quotes to applicants. Collection of payment, issuing of receipts and banking of all monies received. Completion of special hire trip documentation
