ways to deal with body odour

With the mercury rising, it’s normal to deal with a wee case of body odour every now and then. Try these life hacks to ensure that you stay fresh all day.

1. Wash daily. It may be the most obvious, but some folk think that they can go a day without a shower and not smell funky. The combination of sweat, bacteria, sebum and dust that accumulates on our skin can cause a bit of a smell, so a simple shower takes care of it and gives skin an opportunity to breathe. Use warm water, and soap; and rinse thoroughly.

2. Change clothes. You may bath all you want, but if you don’t change your clothes, you may not be able to rid yourself of body odour. Here’s the thing; the shirt you wore yesterday still has sweat residue and active bacteria on it which will give off an off odour until you wash it. Even if you use perfume on your clothes, a bad odour can still emanate through.

3. Wear loose fitting cotton clothes. The hot weather means you can show more skin, which also helps skin breathe. Wearing cotton underwear and going commando at night will help your nether regions breathe a bit, which can prevent things like thrush.

Loose fitting clothes will prevent you from over sweating, which in turn reduces chances of developing an odour.

4. Use deodorant. This product should be your friend, especially during warmer seasons. There are plenty of options on the market, from your germ defending to ones for sensitive skin, and ones with organic ingredients. Try a few until you find something that suits you and your skin. Another trick is to use some roll-on deodorant after a shower at night as well as in the morning. Keep a deodorant spray in your handbag to use whenever you need to freshen up.

5. Get treated for excessive sweating. Excessive sweating or hyperhydrosis can be hard to deal with, but there are medical and cosmetic ways to treat it. Speak to your GP or dermatologist about suitable treatments. There are prescription antiperspirants you may want to try, Botox injected directly under the arms, prescription drugs or surgery depending on the severity of the problem.

how to become successful in forex

Forex has caused large losses to many inexperienced and undisciplined traders over the years. You need not be one of the losers. Here are5 forex trading tips that you can use to avoid disasters and maximize your potential in the currency exchange market.

1. Know yourself. Define your risk tolerance carefully. Understand your needs.

To profit in trading, you must make recognize the markets. To recognize the markets, you must first know and recognize yourself. The first step of gaining self-awareness is ensuring that your risk tolerance and capital allocation to forex and trading are not excessive or lacking. This means that you must carefully study and analyse your own financial goals in engaging forex trading.

2. Plan your goals. Stick to your plan.

Once you know what you want from trading, you must systematically define a timeframe and a working plan for your trading career. What constitutes failure, what would be defined as success? What is the timeframe for the trial and error process that will inevitably be an important part of your learning? How much time can you devote to trading? Do you aim at financial independence, or merely aim to generate extra income? These and similar questions must be answered before you can gain the clear vision necessary for a persistent and patient approach to trading. Also, having clear goals will make it easier to abandon the endeavour entirely in case that the risks/return analysis precludes a profitable outcome.

3. Choose your broker carefully.

While this point is often neglected by beginners, it is impossible to overemphasize the importance of the choice of broker. That a fake or unreliable broker invalidates all the gains acquired through hard work and study is obvious. But it is equally important that your expertise level, and trading goals match the details of the offer made by the broker. What kind of client profile does the forex broker aim at reaching? Does the trading software suit your expectations? How efficient is customer service? All these must be carefully scrutinized before even beginning to consider the intricacies of trading itself.

4. Pick your account type, and leverage ratio in accordance with your needs and expectations.

In continuation of the above item, it is necessary that we choose the account package that is most suited to our expectations and knowledge level. The various types of accounts offered by brokers can be confusing at first, but the general rule is that lower leverage is better. If you have a good understanding of leverage and trading in general, you can be satisfied with a standard account. If you’re a complete beginner, it is a must that you undergo a period of study and practice by the use of a mini account. In general, the lower your risk, the higher your chances, so make your choices in the most conservative way possible, especially at the beginning of your career.

5. Begin with small sums, increases the size of your account through organic gains, not by greater deposits.

One of the best tips for trading forex is to begin with small sums, and low leverage, while adding up to your account as it generates profits. There is no justification to the idea that a larger account will allow greater profits. If you can increase the size of your account through your trading choices, perfect. If not, there’s no point in keeping pumping money to an account that is burning cash like an furnace burns paper.

All The Glitz And Glamour From Mercy Aigbe’s 40th Birthday Party

Actress Mercy Aigbe’s birthday might have been surrounded by a few controversies, from arguments that she is not really 40 to the red dress saga, it was without doubt a wholesome and very colourful event.

The ceremony brought several Nollywood stats together including the duo of Saidi and Fathia Balogun whose divorce recently got finalised with a clean out of Fathia’s Instagram page.

The actress had her 40th birthday party in Lagos and was attended by celebrities. Stars like Halima Abubakar, Adunni Ade, Iyabo Ojo, Doris Simeon and many others were also in attendance.

Here are the official photos from the star studded event:

Wach A Nollywood wedding rom-com is Nigeria’s first international box-office hit

A romantic comedy about the disasters and joys of a huge Nigerian wedding is breaking box-office records at home and abroad.

The Wedding Party: Destination Dubai, raked in 73.3 million naira (about $202,000) in its opening weekend on Dec. 15-17, a new record according to the film producer (How much it cost to make the film was not readily available.) The sequel to the successful 2016 movie The Wedding Party beat out Star Wars: The Last Jedi in Nigerian cinemas, which also opened that weekend. By the first week of january, the film had grossed 300 million naira (roughly $826,000) and went on to open in 17 other African countries and the UK, where it had the biggest single day opening for a Nollywood film. Producers now plan to take it to the US, the Middle East and the Caribbean.

These earnings may seem small compared to the global earning of blockbusters like The Last Jedi, but it’s significant for Nigeria and Nollywood. The country’s film industry is slowly becoming a global phenomenon, but even though Nollywood pushes out dozens of films a week, most go straight to DVD, with  less than 30 cinemmas serving a population of around 180 million.

The international success is a vindication of sorts. When the quality of early Nollywood films was derided, its advocates argued that its shaky cameras and popping mics were laying a foundation for a professional homegrown film industry. The box-office records broken by The Wedding Party‘s sequel, as well as the first film, justify that faith.

From marketing to the distribution, Nigerian media mogul Mo Abudu’s ebony life film and the fec have ensured that the film looks slick professional—nothing like the chaos of the wedding it portrays.

Released in December 2016, the original The Wedding Party was the first Nollywood film to  pass the billion naira mark at home, becoming the highest grossing Nigerian film ever, at 3.5 billion naira (approximately $11.5 million). The film showed a local appetite for well-made rom-coms, fueled by a marketing campaign that borrowed from Hollywood. Last year, Netflix added The Wedding Party to its roster .

The film’s sequel was determined to be an international affair and exactly a year later, The Wedding Party: Destination Dubai was released. The film picks up at the end of the last one, where a kiss between a groomsman and a bridesmaid sets sparks flying all the way to a new wedding at the center of the film. The culture clash between a Yoruba and Igbo family is further complicated by the introduction of the bride’s British family to a destination wedding in Dubai.

The film borrows from the proven novelty of love across the color lines first seen in 1967 with gues whos comming for dinner . It also bets on the cinematic hilarity that ensues when people of diverse ethnicities walk down the aisle, as seen in break US hit  ,my big fat greek weading. It taps into the frivolous joy the wedding film format brings to audiences not accustomed to seeing themselves celebrated in this way—as jumping the broom did for African-Americans in 2011.

Perhaps most importantly, it plays with all the characteristics and idiosyncrasies of a Nollywood film that audiences have come to expect, against a backdrop that anyone in the world who has ever been to a wedding recognizes.

3. Bolanle Ninalowo

If good looks is all it takes to become a Nollywood star, then, Bolanle Ninalowo, has no issues whatsoever.

The 2017 People’s Celebrity Awards will go down memory lane as one of the successful end-of-year awards event following its one-year recession after it launched in 2015.

Scores of Ghanaian art and entertainment enthusiasts who thronged the Accra International Conference Saturday, December 30 rounded-up their year in grand style as they witnessed while others received plaques at this year’s edition of the redefined People’s Choice Awards.

Amid shouts of excitement, patrons sang and danced along to the epic performances served by the various artistes billed for the event.

Opening acts, Nacee and Gifty Osei led the chain of entertainers to commence the event with their soothing gospel tunes.

TeePhlow led the pack of Hiplife artistes who mounted the stage on the night to dish out strict rap lines to the audience. Fancy Gadam moved the audience to their feet with his performance and display of his enviable dance skills.

Lynx Entertainment’s duo, KiDi and Kuami Eugene came on stage to thrill their fans to their well acclaimed hit songs ‘Odo’ and ‘Angela’ respectively.

The 90’s bad girl, Ebony who picked up the award for the “Female Musician of the Year” did not disappoint in her final showdown for the year 2017 as she covered up to perform her popular hit songs, Kupe, Poison, Sponsor, Date Your Father, Hustle and Maame Hw3.

Dancehall artiste and Shatta Movement boss Shatta Wale brought the auditorium to a standstill when he surprisingly showed up on stage at the 2017 People’s Celebrity Awards. Mzbel says she supports Ebony Reigns’ style of dressing

Mzbel Ebony Reigns Mzbel and Ebony

Songstress Mzbel has thrown her support behind fellow female artiste Ebony Reigns amidst public criticism over the latter’s way of dressing and appearance on stage.

According to her, that comes with the profession. In an interview with Media General’s Owusu Worae, Mzbel stated “it does not make sense” to just criticise a celebrity for the way he or she looks on stage.”

When asked if she believes Ebony is trying to be like her, Mzbel said: “the dancehall artiste wants to be known for what and who she is and not by anybody”.

The “Maame Hw3” hitmaker has come under criticism for her dressing on stage ever since she burst into the music scene.

Some believes it’s her grooming and thus how she exposes herself is not fit to represent the cause of women, whiles others like Mzbel say she is in a business which requires her to attract attention however that comes.

However, Mzbel, born Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, was once upon a time at the receiving end of scathing verbal, and a physical attack during a performance at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology because of what she wore on stage
